a response paper I wrote for my speech class…
“Top Three”
Well it’s that time again, that beautiful time of the semester where you get my long awaited response to who had the most solid speech. I know the anticipation must be thriving through your body on which person I picked, so let’s get things started. There were plenty of nominees this time around and at some points during this three day exhibition we laughed, we couldn’t understand what they were talking about, we almost cried and then we almost cried out of sheer panic for our lives. But for obvious reason we will keep that part out of this. So here it is, the top three speeches in the eyes of yours truly.
The second runner up was a tough one but I’d have to go with Skylar. Besides the fact that she is easy on the eyes, she actually had a good speech. She also had some solid props which if she used more might have increased her standings on this powerful list. I liked the way she spoke too; it was as if she was giving her speech in a little Miss America pageant, very confident. I feel bad putting her at number three but the countless years on the beauty queen circuit I think will prepare her for the number three spot.
The runner up would have to be the “Rugby Kid”. In all honesty it wasn’t the best speech of all time, but he had an action shot of him punching some dude in the face. That not only got him a spot in the top three but also made him the enforcer if a certain someone were to act out one of his speeches… Besides him beating a kid to the point of submission he had a video. I must say I’m a huge fan of youtube and it was used perfectly to show the impact of a brutal sport. Touché my friend.
Finally the moment you have all been waiting for… (TURNS TO PAGE TWO)
The winner…is… me. Through style and intellect I expressed the ridiculousness of mermaids. Also I had a sweet shot of Princess Leia from Return of the Jedi. Lastly did you see that drawing of the reverse mermaid, I know I did. So the choice was simple, and there were no rules on who I could pick.

In all seriousness I was typing this and when I got to number three I realized my pick was too serious to joke about, so I picked me to again make an ass out of myself via paper this time. The girl who spoke about her father’s post 9/11 illness was defiantly the best in my eyes. Like the previous topic she picked it was serious and kept my attention. She also is a phenomenal speaker and really knows how to keep an audience interested. It also struck me because I would never be able to talk about something like that. She has a lot of guts talking about the stuff she does and it really seems she cares about everything she says.
